A little something different for a Friday night…Long before they walk down the aisle, girls love to dress up. Here are three gorgeous sisters that I had the pleasure of photographing last week doing just that.
Heather & Paul- Ashford Castle Wedding
Melissa September 16th, 2011
Nothing says romance and drama like a castle, especially when that castle is Ashford Castle in Cong, Ireland. Paul and Heather, along with their parents travelled from the states to celebrate a very intimate wedding- packed full of romance and joy. After the ceremony we had a mini magical mystery tour of the beautiful grounds of Ashford and Cong stopping, ofcourse, for photos along the way. Paul and Heather made it so much fun that I have made them promise to return to renew their vows…Here are a few sneak peeks from the day, many more to follow.
Slovak Festival Orchestra
Melissa September 6th, 2011
For anyone in the planning phase of a wedding wondering about what music you would like to have during your day I would highly recommend you take a look at Slovak Festival Orchestra. As a photographer I have to admit that I often don’t actually hear the music as I am focused (no pun intended!) on what I am seeing. That’s how I know that these guys are really good- I always hear them! Their music goes from solemn and beautiful to energetic and fun depending upon the moment- I think I have even detected a note of irony at times. At a recent wedding I photographed they played Elbow’s ‘One Day Like This’ as the bride and father came up the aisle and it gave me goosebumps it was so beautiful. Here a few photos of them in action.
