I’ve been very anxiously awaiting the arrival of some of my friend’s horses who are having a bit of a holiday up at my house. Who knew that horses need holidays but apparently they do. So far just the first two have come up but later in the week Shannon, a yearling, will be arriving as well. I must say they really dress up the place. The evenings are so beautiful here with the last glow of the sun and the long shadows cast over the field so when I saw the two horses grazing in front of the chestnut trees I had to dash out with my camera. So beautiful!

I hope that everyone had a very relaxing and enjoyable Easter, I had a great time having dinner with my family here in New York. I have spent the last week holidaying around with my mother and my little travelling daughter. Its been a great break but I haven’t completely taken my mind off of work- I have finally managed to go through some recent photos and choose a few of my favourites. 2009 is off to such a great start, even though I am only just beginning my wedding season I have photographed some really amazing weddings, including three of the ‘Brides of Franc’ weddings.
Here are a few of my favourites:

Every year at this time I take a portrait of my daughter in the field of daffs beside my in-laws house. Its a nice way to keep a record of the changes that occur from year to year. This year after some heated wardrobe debates we managed to get out as the last of the evening sun was disappearing after a beautiful day.
I have only processed one image so far but I am very happy with it- what a great little model Lily is!
Looking back I can’t believe how much a child can change over the course of three years. Here is the link to view my previous post with photos from 2003-2008
And here is this year’s photo

Hello from Long Island, New York!
I shot an amazing wedding last Friday for the next ‘Brides of Franc’ series. It was an blingtastic event in Central Park’s Boat House restaurant.
The ‘franc-ed’ Boat House looked like a fairy tale and every detail was amazing. The Bride and Groom as well as the entire wedding party were terrific to work with and the party was hopping all night- such a great experience.
Meanwhile, I am now snowbound on Long Island as a foot of snow fell last night and today- talk about a winter wonderland!
While going through some personal photos to get printed for my mother I came across this one from Christmas in Galway and thought I’d post it here.

I am off tomorrow morning en route to New York. I am really excited about this trip because I will be shooting one of the ‘brides of Franc’ weddings in Central Park. I can’t wait to see what Franc can do in the big apple!
I will be back in the office on the 9th of March (I am taking the opportunity to extend the trip for a bit to spend time with my family on Long Island). I will have my laptop with me and I’ll be checking emails when I can so do feel free to send me an email if you need to contact me for any reason.
