Hello from Long Island, New York!
I shot an amazing wedding last Friday for the next ‘Brides of Franc’ series. It was an blingtastic event in Central Park’s Boat House restaurant.
The ‘franc-ed’ Boat House looked like a fairy tale and every detail was amazing. The Bride and Groom as well as the entire wedding party were terrific to work with and the party was hopping all night- such a great experience.
Meanwhile, I am now snowbound on Long Island as a foot of snow fell last night and today- talk about a winter wonderland!
While going through some personal photos to get printed for my mother I came across this one from Christmas in Galway and thought I’d post it here.

I am off tomorrow morning en route to New York. I am really excited about this trip because I will be shooting one of the ‘brides of Franc’ weddings in Central Park. I can’t wait to see what Franc can do in the big apple!
I will be back in the office on the 9th of March (I am taking the opportunity to extend the trip for a bit to spend time with my family on Long Island). I will have my laptop with me and I’ll be checking emails when I can so do feel free to send me an email if you need to contact me for any reason.

Hi, ok, I know I posted three weeks ago that the episode of ‘An Engagement with Franc’ which I am in (actually in- not just taking photos behind the scenes) was going to be on…and then it wasn’t. But its back up on the bbc1 website as being on this friday at 8:30. I really hope it is on because it will be a great show- all of the ‘Engagement with Franc’ shows have been so good- I wish there were more in the series!
Another show that is definitely worth watching is a series about Inis Mean (I am so sorry, being an american I won’t even attempt to write the actual name of show but it is on TG4 at 9:30 pm on Sundays. It is produced by Power Pictures who have done, among many other things, the Franc shows- ‘Brides of Franc’ and ‘Engagement with Franc’.
Here are the link for the show this Friday - photo by me

While it wasn’t exactly a ‘Franc’ event we had our own big party this past weekend for my daughter’s 6th birthday. I know that some mom’s (and dads perhaps) read my blog so I thought I ‘d mention the wonderful princess we had to entertain the troops. Princess Nina did beautiful facepainting on all the girls and kept them happy with tons of fun and party games- I would highly recommend her if you are having a party- particularly if it is for a little girl with a thing for all things princess.

This will be short as it’s past my bedtime but I just feel like shouting from the rooftops (or the cyberspace equivelant)! Two really cool things happened this week- Lily won 1st prize in the school raffle, a beautiful shiny pink bike, and I bought my first horse. I have wanted a horse as long as I can remember- every year it was top of my santa list but miraculously no horse ever appeared under the tree. Well, its good to be a grown up sometimes- I bought myself an early christmas present:

Lovejoy is his name and he is the sweetest teddybear of a horse- a pure pet!

Absolutely the best present I’ve ever recieved- even if it did come from me
