Hello again, I’m back again after my summer holidays in New York. It was the longest I have been back since I was married 12 years ago and the longest my daughter has ever been away from home and yet it seemed to fly by!
Most of the time we spent in the town I grew up in on Long Island but we also got to visit Manhattan, Saratoga Springs and Montauk- three very different but equally fantastic parts of New York state. The trip also gave me the opportunity to catch up with some very good friends that I hadn’t seen in many years and to make some new friends that I hope to see again either back in NY or here in Ireland.
Now I’m looking foward to my September weddings, can’t wait to be shooting again
In the meantime here are a few of the photos I took on my trip;

ok- super sorry to anyone who tuned in last friday to watch my tv debut on ‘An Engagement with Franc’. At the last minute the BBC switched episodes and aired the one that took place in Paris. It kind of broke my heart a bit as I had been asked to go to Paris to photograph the engagement but couldn’t as I had a wedding booked that day (turned out to be a brilliant wedding though!).
On the bright side the Paris episode was terrific and I got to watch it in a pub on Inis Mor with Franc, his wife and crew as well as the production company behind both that series and the upcoming series of Brides of Franc- Power Pictures. We were all over for a wedding that will be part of the upcoming series and what a wedding it was! There is talk of erecting a Franc statue on Inis Mor in recognition of the trojan work he and his crew did to transform the community hall into a fairytale venue for the event. We all had such an amazing time and the welcome we got was extraordinary. The party went on all night and not all of us made out schedualed ferry departure the following moring. I hope to post a few photos up once I clear it with the production company.
Lastly I want to say a huge congratulations and thanks to Aoife and Martin- who showed great bravery in the face of wind and cold and movie crews and let us capture their amazing wedding. I hope you are having a fantastic time on your honeymoon now and that there are no cameras following you around!

Last spring I was asked to take productions stills for a series being shot for the BBC entitled, “An engagement with Franc”- starring the always fabulous planner….Franc.
I’ve been asked loads of times when it will air and I just realised that its on tonight! The details can be found here . If you have no exciting plans tonight definitely check it out as its full of drama and emotion- two great ingredients for good tv. Incidentally, I’ll be watching it tonight with Franc, his crew and the people at Power Pictures as we are shooting a real wedding tomorrow on Inishmore that will be part of the next ‘Brides of Franc’ series- should be good!

Just had to post a little bit about my trip up to oxygen on Sunday. I can’t say too much about it as it will be on telly at the end of September but I was part of a crew documenting an onstage proposal in the middle of Oxegen- it was AMAZING! I can’t wait until the show airs as there was so much fun and drama it is going to be a great show. I will definitely put up the details of when the series will be airing- romance, drama and Franc- ablolutely must see tv!
Here are a few sneeky peaks in the meantime to give you a taste of what went on:
Franc, as you have never seen him before!

The crowd was delighted by the unexpected show:

during the proposal:

Happy couple!

and then, much much much much later during the wrap party back in the caravan, David Power- producer of the series- snapped this shot of me- if you are wondering about the hat it could only belong to the fabulous Franc! To protect the dignity of the others present I will refrain from posting any other party photos!
