This is one of the few times that I am at a loss for words. Most people who have met me during the past few years will be familiar with my colleague and friend, Trent. Chances are that if I photographed your wedding you met this larger than life (literally and metaphorically) character. He had an infectious sense of humour and a joy for life that was unforgetable. As many of you will know by now Trent passed away in Africa this week. To say that his loss has created a sense of shock and devastation in those who knew him is a terrible understatement.
I want to thank everyone who has sent me an email offering their sypmathy in the past few days, I really appreciate it and plan to print them out and send them to his family in New Zealand to let them know how much of an impact their son had on people half way across the world.
Their will be a candlelight memorial service most likely on Tuesday evening, the 3rd of June, in Salthill. The details when they are definite will be announced on Galway Bay FM, Galway First newspaper and on Trent’s own website: www.trentkeegan.com
To sum up Trent’s character I will use one of his own terms…He was fan-bloody-tastic and will live on in the hearts of many people around the globe.

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that I have been having ALOT of trouble with my email as well as my broadband connection of late. I’m not sure if the two problems are related or not but the result is that my email has become quite unreliable. I have had several people tell me that they have sent me emails that I have not recieved. This is definitely not good!
If you have sent an email to me lately and not had a reply please give me a ring on 086 8038034 as I very well might not have recieved it.
Other than that…all’s well and busy working on more beautiful wedding and portrait images.
Enjoy the weekend!

Well, I did cross the border to the north (for the first time!) so that makes me international- I can’t say what I was photographing so that makes me mysterious. But, I am very excited as I will be on a TV show in October. I can’t give too much away but this is where I was:

and some of these were involved:

I had such a blast even though I was REALLY nervous. I will make an announcement in October when the show is schedualed to air.
Now back to work!

I was recently chatting with a photographer friend about cropping in really close for children’s portraits. Sometimes even ‘chopping off’ half of a face. The very next day I had these beautiful twins in the studio. Now, I have many full face and full body images from the shoot but, personally, I like this one the best…mom might or might not agree!
What do you think, why not leave a comment to let me know if it is (in the words of Hesch on The Sopranos) good, or…not good.

I spent some time with another favourite (growing) family recently. I have photographed these lovely people since bump number one so was delighted to return for bump number two. It also gave me a chance to catch up with baby supermodel Michael. Michael features prominantly on my web gallery- I must post the photo here since it is one of my faves. Here are a few images from our latest shoot- I was feeling a bit panoramic when I processed these.

Good luck and I look foward to the text!
