I’m back again!

April 23rd, 2008

Firstly, I apologise for being a bit MIA of late- I have been a very busy bee over the past two weeks but things are starting to settle down a bit and return to normal- or what passes for normal when you are a photographer.

Well, it was a whirlwind few weeks which included four wonderful weddings. In addition I spent nearly a full week documenting a true fairytale of a wedding which was created by one of Ireland’s premiere event planners.

All of the stops were pulled out and will no doubt be one of the most talked about weddings of 2008. Although the venue, decor and entertainment were spectacular the most impressive ingredient for me was all of the people involved- such a warm hearted and generous bunch of people. It was truly a privelege to be in their company for nearly a week and I wish them all the best for the future.

In the meantime, there were three other weddings that I got to photograph- all full of love and laughter.  I am in the process of editing all of these weddings and will post some images as soon as I have them ready.  For now…it is back to the computer for me!

Where am I???

April 9th, 2008

Just to let you know that I am away for until the 15th of April.  Unfortunately it is work and not play but as I am working with my favourite event planner it is more fun than work really.

I most likely will not have access to email and my phone will be off most of the time but do send an email if you need to contact me or leave a message and I will get back to you next week when it is all done and dusted.

Looking for a home…

April 9th, 2008

…not me, I haven’t been shown the door just yet!  This beautiful dog strayed onto our farm yesterday and as much as I would LOVE  to keep her (she is exactly the type of dog I have always wanted) a sheep farming country is not ideal for a new pet dog- especially when there are so many prregnant ewes and lambs around these days.

She is absolutely beautiful and super friendly and seems like she has been trained a bit as she responds to commands like ‘down’.  I have taken a few really quick snaps of her to show her off a bit.  Ideally I would love to find her home if she is lost or, if I don’t find her original home I would love for someone to adopt her.  It would actually break my heart a bit to see her go but she deserves a good home.  Feel free to contact me if you, or someone you know, might be interested in adopting her.

He’s here….

April 4th, 2008

Just about two weeks ago I posted about a client’s second ‘bump’ photo shoot. Well, he was so eager to see his photos that he decided to come a few days early. Today (on his 1st week birthday) I went out to meet and shoot him- only a photographer can get away with that!

Congratulations to one of my favourite families on getting bigger.

New album company- first arrivals

April 1st, 2008

Yesterday I had my first shipment of albums from a new supplier that I am working with in the states. I get excited about new albums in the same way that a bride gets excited about her shoes! This particular order came from a spectacular (and I don’t use this word lightly here) event organised by Weddings By Franc who are such a pleasure to work with.

The clients ordered five albums from the three day event and I am over the moon with them. The leather covers are exquisite and the printing is beautiful and vivid. This company have an extensive range of cover options and I look foward to introducing some exciting combinations very soon.

In the meantime here are some photos:

The packaging the albums comes in is beautiful and made from recycled paper.
